Well, they do have a point...

10-year olds review video games from the 70's/80's.

My line is so beating the heck out of your stupid line. Fear my pink line. You have no chance. I am the undisputed lord of virtual tennis. [Misses ball] Whoops.

Super crappy service

Best Buy used to be at the top of my "never shop there again" list. Sears is now fighting its way into top position on that list.

Who's on your "never shop there again list"?

Figures, as Sears and K-Mart are in bed together now. K-Mart sucks!

Has Chris Moore seen this?

Between shows on the PBS-Kids channel this morning they showed a video from a group called "Animusic". They do these stunningly realistic animations of robotic music instruments. It's heavy on percussion and it's all MIDI-driven. Check out the videos on their web site.

Protection for Everyone

Don't like beanies? Now you can protect yourself from those pesky psychotronic mind-control rays with a stylish (or appropriate, if it suits your religious preferences) aluminum foil headdress. Previous reports on the ineffectiveness of AFDB is THEM propaganda, and should be heeded at your own peril. Get yours today.

Journalistic Quality, Part II

This is a good one...

A sheriff’s deputy checking on the black truck, which spun off the southbound I-985 roadway and into a guardrail, appeared vacant about 2 a.m.
I'm not really sure what that's supposed to say. The deputy appeared vacant?

2005 in Review

This is pretty funny

Incidently, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid almost make me miss Tom Daschle. He seems so reasonable in retrospect.

Please Explain

Why the fork does Congress have anything to with the BCS?
Wyoming Rep. Barbara Cubin, who sits on the subcommittee, told witnesses that the current system discriminates against teams in the Mountain West. The University of Utah Utes, for example, were undefeated last year but were outside the top two spots.
Well, so was Auburn. And they are in a so-called "major conference". If Utah feels that they are being cheated because they are in the Mountain West, then shouldn't Utah take it upon themselves to find another conference? Or pressure Mountain West to be competitive enough to be included in the BCS?

You know, my whole life, I've worked as hard as I possibly could. Unfortunately, I still can't afford that new GV. Maybe Congress should have some hearings with the execs at Gulfstream to find out why guys like me can't afford their products.

At least they realized that there were more important matters they could be addressing. Though, they didn't actually address the more important matters first.

This is just as asinine as Congress caring about steroids in baseball.

I'm just ticked that Congress is wasting my money... that I earned!

Edit: Apparently, that last link doesn't work so well in FireFox.

This is nuts

Boy suspended for taking camera out of boy's room ceiling.

Furthermore, his principal's name is Ms. Massengil - so she really is a douchebag.

Dude, Killer Squirrels!

They are said to have scampered off at the sight of humans, some carrying pieces of flesh.

Journalistic Quality

It's been so quiet around here... aren't there some conspiracy theories out there that we need to be made aware of?

My AP English teacher would have had a fit about this sentence:
Government engineers performing sonar tests at the site of a major levee failure confirmed that steel reinforcements barely went more than half as deep as they were supposed to...

Wha? Someone needs to re-edit that, or maybe just try to make it less sensational.
