Between shows on the PBS-Kids channel this morning they showed a video from a group called "Animusic". They do these stunningly realistic animations of robotic music instruments. It's heavy on percussion and it's all MIDI-driven. Check out the videos on their web site.

They bundle this as a demo for ATI graphics cards. It came with one I bought about three years ago.
